IEC 61850 Digital Substation Automation
Unifying Power Through Digital Intelligence.
The IEC 61850 Driver communicates with protection relays and other devices using the IEC61850 protocol over Ethernet TCP/IP (MMS). This Driver allows:
Easily generate device Tags by communicating with relays online or importing ICD/SCD configuration files offline. Supports flexible setup for different systems.
Assigns a primary and optional backup IP address to each device, enabling seamless failover and uninterrupted communication during network issues.
In this version, the transport layer is fixed with the value
MMS (IEC 61850-8-1). In later versions, XMPP (IEC
61850-8-2) options is also available.
Sends periodic heartbeat messages to verify device status and triggers automatic reconnection if no response is received, enhancing reliability.
Adjusts UTC-based timestamps using local time zones and daylight saving settings to provide accurate event logging and time-sensitive operations.
Allows users to temporarily disable communication with specific devices for maintenance or testing, without altering permanent configurations.
